# Station Authorization Methods Overview
**Note:** Changing authorization method settings in `Station Info` does **NOT** affect the driver's ability to start a charge from the station nor does it make changes to the station's configuration.
The `Station Authorization Methods` section of `Station Info` determines what authorization methods are shown to drivers in their mobile app for a specific station. It does not alter the station's actual configuration nor the authorization method.
The follow are the options that may be selected:
* `Mobile App` enables charging sessions to be initiated from the user's mobile app using the **Start** button and will display the corresponding icon in the mobile app. If this is not selected, users will not see the **Start** button in their app.
* [RFID](/guides/RFID) adds the RFID icon to the station in the mobile app.\*
* [Autocharge](/guides/autocharge) adds the Autocharge icon to the station in the mobile app.\*
* `Free Vend` allows the driver to initiate a charge session without remote authorization from the server.
* [Payment Terminal](/guides/configure-Payment-Terminal) adds the Credit Card icon to the station in the mobile app.\*
\**Methods marked with an asterisk require additional configuration for these features to be enabled on the station. The ability to select an option does not indicate that the station already has the hardware or software capabilities to implement these features. Please refer to your hardware's manual for the authorization methods supported by your station.*
